Littleham Brook in Exmouth has turned blue following a pollution incident

Officials have asked people not to swim at a beach following a pollution incident which has turned a brook bright blue.

The Environment Agency said it was advising against entering the water at Exmouth beach and nearby swimming spots until further notice.

It comes after a pollution incident at Littleham Brook in the town which left the water blue.

An Environment Agency spokesperson said it was continuing its investigation and asked anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
