A46 southbound reopens following crash

Emergency services were called to the A46 in Leicestershire on Monday

A dual carriageway has reopened in Leicestershire after being shut following a crash.

The A46 was closed southbound between the B676 at Six Hills and the A607 at Ratcliffe on the Wreake, at about 10:00 BST on Monday, said Leicestershire Police.

Closures remained into the afternoon with drivers diverted until police reopened the road at about 14:30.

Eyewitnesses said three fire crews had attended the scene alongside police and paramedics.

National Highways said traffic was coping in the area.

Leicestershire Police has not provided any further information on the crash.
