Man charged over car and lorry crash which killed teenager

A man who was arrested last year in connection with a crash in West Lothian which left a 17-year-old girl dead has now been charged.

The teenager was a passenger in a Volkswagen Polo when it was involved in a collision with a lorry at Boghead Roundabout, near Bathgate, on 9 June 2025.

Another female passenger, aged 18, was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and treated for serious injuries.

The 21-year-old driver of the car, who was also taken to hospital, was previously released pending further inquiries.
