Four arrested after vehicle crashes during chase

Four men have been arrested after a vehicle crashed into a central reservation in Scunthorpe during a chase.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said it failed to stop for officers on the A18 on Sunday at 09:20 BST.

The vehicle was being chased before the crash, in which there were no reported injuries. The Met said it was carrying out "a proactive operation" in Scunthorpe, with the assistance of Humberside Police.

The four men – aged 37, 35, 29 and 28 – were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to rob. They remain in police custody.
