Woman arrested after hit and run

A 37-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a hit and run in Bristol.

Emergency services were called to a collision involving a car and a pedestrian at about 12:20 BST on Saturday in Fulford Road, Hartcliffe.

Avon and Somerset Police said the pedestrian was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers said they managed to locate the driver of a blue Mini Cooper in Whitland Road about an hour after the crash and a 37-year-old woman was arrested. She has since been released on bail.
