City Lido closes again for maintenance work
Vivacity PeterboroughA city swimming pool has been shut for a second time this season because of issues with its plant room.
Peterborough Lido closed on Wednesday for "essential maintenance works", according to operator Vivacity.
The Grade II listed outdoor pool, which marked its 90th birthday this year, reopened for this season on 28 March, two months earlier than last year.
A Vivacity spokesperson said: "Contractors are on site trying to rectify the problem and we will reopen as soon as we can. Customers with bookings are being kept informed and bookings moved where necessary."
The swimming pool on Bishop's Road was closed on 9 June for two days for essential maintenance.
