Emergency services search river for person

An area of Cambridge has been cordoned off while emergency services respond to reports of a person in a river.

Cambridgeshire Police said it was called at about 06:00 BST to the area around Stourbridge Common.

A force spokesperson said: "Searches [and] inquiries are ongoing and likely to continue throughout the morning."

Police urged members of the public to avoid the Abbey Chesterton and Green Dragon footbridges.

Police said emergency services could be at the scene throughout the morning
