A motorcyclist who was killed in a crash involving a car was "funny, cheeky, caring, adventurous and so full of life", his family has said.

Carl McCaskill, 43, died at the scene of the crash involving an Audi in Cane End on the A4074 in south Oxfordshire on 11 October.

An inquest opening held at Oxford Coroner's Court on Thursday heard he was a site manager who lived in Reading.

In a tribute his family said he was a "much-loved son, brother, husband, father and friend" who "had a way of leaving his mark on people".

They continued: "Above all, Carl loved his young children and his family.

"He took great pride in looking after the people he cared about.

"He had a big heart and was always someone who wanted to be there for others.

"Carl was someone who lived each day to the full, making the most of life and embracing the things he loved.

"Although his life was taken far too soon, we are so grateful for the wonderful memories made, the laughter shared and the moments that we will treasure forever."

Coroner Nicholas Graham adjourned the inquest until 1 April 2027.
