Arrest after man dies following holiday park fight
GoogleA man has died in hospital after a fight at a holiday park in Cornwall, police have said.
Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were called to St Minver Holiday Park near Wadebridge at about 20:00 BST on 30 May after a report of a "physical altercation" involving two men.
The man in his 50s was taken to Treliske Hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there on 1 June. A man in his 60s was arrested on suspicion of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
The force said it had made a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
The arrested man was released on bail until 21 August.
"The matter is now subject to an independent investigation by the IOPC due to police contact," the force said in a statement.
"Devon and Cornwall Police is fully co-operating with the IOPC regarding this matter."
