A man was pronounced dead at the scene, police say

The body of a man has been recovered from the sea in Cleethorpes, police have said.

Emergency services were called to Cleethorpes beach at about 14:00 BST on Monday, Humberside Police said.

A spokesperson said: "Despite the efforts of medical professionals, a man was pronounced dead at the scene."

The force said the man's death was not being treated as suspicious and his family had been informed.
