A man has died after he was found critically injured in the street in Leeds.

The 42-year-old man, who has not been named, was found just after 15:30 BST on Wednesday in Lister Hill, in Horsforth, following what West Yorkshire Police have described as a "disturbance"

He was taken to hospital for treatment, but died as a result of his injuries on Thursday evening, the force said.

Five people, aged between 44 and 74, were arrested on suspicion of assault and have been bailed pending further inquiries.

A police spokesprson said the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team was investigating the incident and urged anyone with information or footage of what happened t to contact the force.
