Father-of-two who died in street stabbing named
SuppliedA 31-year-old who died in hospital after a street stabbing has been identified by police.
Father-of-two Nathan Bushby was found seriously injured on Yarm Lane in Stockton-on-Tees on Wednesday night and died in James Cook University Hospital a short time later.
In a statement released by Cleveland Police, his sister Sarah said he was "always loyal" to his two young daughters and said many would remember him as a "cheeky and funny lovable rogue".
Richard Shaw, 49, of Leybourne Terrace, has been charged with murder, as well as separate offences of sexual assault, possession of a bladed article in public and assault by beating of an emergency worker.
The force said Shaw had been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
Det Ch Insp John Bonner said anyone with information about the case should contact them.
Bushby's sister said the family was grateful for the support they had received.
"We kindly ask that we are now given some time to grieve and try to come to terms with our loss," she said.
