Residents return home after crews tackle garage fire

Several properties were evacuated as fire crews tackle a fire at a garage in Woodville.

High Street was shut between Hepworth Road and Clock roundabout due to the blaze but reopened later on Thursday.

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service said two fire crews from Swadlincote and two crews from Leicestershire went to the scene.

A number of properties were evacuated but police said all residents had now been allowed home.
