A man fell through a skylight at a vehicle repair business in Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent

A man has died after falling through a skylight in Stoke-on-Trent.

It happened at the L UK vehicle repair business on Sandbach Road, in the Cobridge area of the city, at about 16:45 BST on Thursday.

The man was taken to hospital where he died a short time later, Staffordshire Police confirmed.

A force spokesperson said his next of kin were being supported by specially-trained officers and an investigation was under way.

The Health and Safety Executive confirmed it was aware of the incident and was working alongside police.
