Attempted murder arrest after car crash and fight
South Yorkshire PoliceTwo men have been arrested - one on suspicion of attempted murder - following a car crash and fight in Sheffield.
Officers were called to Hathersage Road at about 17:35 BST on Thursday after reports two vehicles had been involved in a collision, according to South Yorkshire Police.
No one was injured in the crash, but it was thought the drivers had then become involved in a fight, with one man pushed into the road and being hit by another vehicle, police said.
A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remained in police custody, while a man, 32, who was arrested on suspicion of common assault and driving with excess alcohol was bailed, the force spokesperson said.
The injuries suffered by the man hit by another vehicle were not life-threatening or life-altering, they added.
Hathersage Road was closed following the incident and reopened shortly after 00:30 BST on Friday.
