Police have been given more time to question three murder suspects following the death of a man found fatally injured near a hospital.

The 18-year-old victim was found in Longfleet Road, Poole, at 02:13 BST on Friday and was taken into Poole Hospital where he died a short time later.

Dorset Police believe he was attacked in Dale Close and then driven to Longfleet Road, 1.5 miles (2.4km) away, in a car.

Anyone who saw a dark-coloured Nissan Juke, with front-end damage, between Poole and Blandford in the early hours of Friday is urged to contact the force.

Three men arrested on suspicion of murder - a 20-year-old man from Blandford, a 22-year-old man from London and a 22-year-old man of Bletchley in Buckinghamshire - remain in custody.

A 19-year-old man from Poole, who was held on suspicion of murder, has been released and will face no further police action.

Officers said they were keen to hear from anyone who saw a dark-coloured Nissan Juke, with damage to the front and a missing bumper, travelling between Dale Close and Blandford between 01:30 and 02:33 on Friday.

Det Supt Neil Third said: "Our investigation is progressing at pace and we believe a Nissan Juke was involved in the incident."

Third appealed for anyone with dashcam, CCTV or doorbell cameras on the route between Poole and Blandford to review their footage.

He also appealed for footage from Dale Close and Longfleet Road from the relevant time period.

He said: "Officers are also continuing to search a property in Castleman Smith Close in Blandford."
