Murder arrest over woman's death

The body of a woman in her 60s was found at a property on Whinlatter Way on Sunday

A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a woman who was found dead at a property on Sunday.

The victim, also aged in her 60s, was discovered following reports of a "sudden death" at Whinlatter Way, Carlisle.

She was declared dead at the scene shortly after 23:20 BST, according to Cumbria Police.

The force said its investigation was continuing.
