Several bank holiday ferry services cancelled
WightlinkA number of morning sailings on a passenger ferry service between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight have been cancelled due to a problem with the vessel's exhaust.
Wightlink said the FastCat sailings at 07:15 BST and 08:15 from Portsmouth Harbour, as well as the 07:45 sailing from Ryde Pier Head, were cancelled on Monday.
The ferry firm said all Wightlink tickets will continue to be accepted on its Portsmouth to Fishbourne car ferry service, and Hovertravel will be operating services between Southsea and Ryde, with Wightlink tickets being accepted.
In a statement on its website, Wightlink said the three services on Monday were cancelled "while our engineering teams continue their work to safely return the vessel to service".
It continued: "If there are any changes to this situation or services can resume earlier than expected, we will provide a further update as soon as possible.
"We sincerely apologise for the disruption to your travel plans and thank you for your patience and understanding."
