Police found two men and a woman in a lorry in Halesfield on Tuesday

Three arrests have been made after several people were found in the back of a refrigerated lorry in Telford.

West Mercia Police said they were called at about 11:20 BST on Tuesday following a report of concerns for the welfare of a woman and two men at Brockton Business Park, Halesfield.

The force said two men and a woman were arrested on suspicion of immigration offences and remained in police custody.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were also called out and said three people were discovered in a lorry.

A teenage boy was checked over and taken to hospital in a stable condition, a spokesperson added.

A man and a woman were also assessed and discharged, the service said.

The BBC has contacted the HGV company for comment.
