Rider seriously injured in motorcycle crash

The accident happened on Thorne Road at the junction with Between Rivers Lane

A rider has received what are believed to be life-threatening injuries in a collision with another motorcyclist in East Yorkshire.

Police said four motorcycles were travelling southbound on Thorne Road (A614) at about 11:00 BST and two of them collided at the junction with Between Rivers Lane at East Cowick.

The riders of both the Triumph Thunderbird and a Harley Davidson were taken to hospital.

Humberside Police said the rider of the Triumph, a 52-year-old man, remains in a critical condition.

Officers said the rider of the Harley Davidson, a 31-year-old man, has been discharged from hospital following treatment.

The force is urging anyone with information about the collision to contact them.
