Firefighters are tackling a large pallet fire at an industrial unit in Leeds.

West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said eight fire engines were at the scene on Haigh Park Road, near Hunslet, with nine large jets in use to tackle the fire.

The blaze broke out at about 14:00 BST and no injuries have been reported, a spokesperson for the fire service said.

"This is a large fire and residents are being asked to keep doors and windows closed due to a smoke plume in the air," they added.
