Tributes paid as murder investigation continues
Devon and Cornwall PoliceRelatives of a man whose death has led to a murder investigation have described him as "harmless".
The family of Ian Davis, 56, said he was an animal lover and would be "missed and loved" after he was found dead in Liskeard on Sunday.
Devon and Cornwall Police said Davis, who lived in the Cornish town, was found with multiple injuries in a property on Baytree Hill at about 21:30 BST and had been pronounced dead at the scene.
Three men from Liskeard aged in their 30s, 40s and 50s, together with a man from Plymouth in his 20s, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on bail.
A tribute from Davis' family said: "He was harmless and he loved his animals, especially dogs, he didn't deserve what happened to him.
"He will be missed and loved."
Det Insp Pete Gee said the investigation into Davis' death was ongoing and several cordons were still in place in the town.
"We recognise the impact this incident has had on the local community and would like to thank residents for their continued support and patience while enquiries are carried out," he added.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact investigating officers.
