Man jailed for sex offences against three children

A man has been jailed for five and a half years after admitting a series of sexual offences involving three child victims.

Aaron Grimshaw, 23, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Bradford Crown Court on 17 September.

West Yorkshire Police said he admitted multiple offences, including sexual assault of a girl, sexual activity with a child, engaging in sexual communication with a child and making an indecent photograph of a child.

Det Con Emma Moist said: "Grimshaw's sentence reflects the seriousness of his actions."

In addition to his prison term, Grimshaw was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders Register and made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

The court heard Grimshaw used social media to communicate with children in conversations of a sexual nature.

Following his arrest, police seized his mobile phone and recovered evidence of the messages.

Det Con Moist said sexual communication with a child could cause "significant harm" to young people and their families.
