A cannabis farm hidden beneath a nail salon has been discovered by police.

Officers found 47 cannabis plants behind reinforced doors in the basement of the Regent Street premises in Leamington Spa after following up reports linked to a property on Grosvenor Road.

Warwickshire Police said evidence of a cannabis grow and a quantity of cannabis were found at the house, although the grow was no longer operating.

A man from Birmingham, 32, and a man from Leamington, 43, were arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis.

A woman from Leamington, 36, and a man from Birmingham, 45, were also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cannabis.

The woman was additionally arrested on suspicion of abstracting electricity.
