Murder arrest after man's death in Salford

A man was pronounced dead after officers were called to reports of a disturbance

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man in his 30s was found dead at a house in Greater Manchester.

Emergency services were called to Kempster Gardens, Salford, at about 05:20 BST following reports of a disturbance.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the address and remains in custody for questioning.

Detectives said they believed it was an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.

Det Supt Jen Tattersall said officers were not looking for any other suspects and that investigators were "working around the clock" to establish the circumstances leading up the the man's death.
