A man has been treated in hospital after being stabbed near a rugby club, police say.

Wiltshire Police were called to the incident in a field next to Swindon Rugby Club in Greenbridge Road, at about 15:55 BST on Tuesday.

The force said the man, who was aged in his 20s, has since been discharged.

A cordon, set up at the scene to allow for investigation work to take place, has been lifted.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or any altercation are encouraged to contact officers.
