Man arrested after driver dies in country lane crash
GoogleA man has been arrested following a fatal crash involving a van and a car in Leicestershire.
Police said a grey Volkswagen ID3 Life car and a Ford Transit van towing a trailer crashed in Lindridge Lane, Desford, at about 16:15 BST on Thursday.
The Volkswagen driver, a 56-year-old man, died at the scene.
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage that could help the investigation has been asked to contact Leicestershire Police.
