Two more arrested after suspected gangland stabbing
PA MediaTwo more men have been arrested after a stabbing in East Lothian last month which police believe may be related to a gangland feud.
The pair, aged 21 and 33, were charged in connection with the incident in Musselburgh following a police operation in Hamilton and Glasgow on Thursday
A 31-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital after the attack in Drummohr Avenue on 6 April. Two other men , aged 38 and 43, were later arrested and charged.
It is understood the incident has been investigated by detectives from Operation Portaledge, set up last year after an upsurge in gangland attacks.
The two men arrested in the latest police operation are due to appear in Edinburgh Sheriff Court later.
Hours after the knife incident in East Lothian, a Glasgow garage which was once the scene of an infamous gangland murder was reportedly torched.
Emergency services were called to reports of a van and two cars on fire at Lambhill Motors on Balmore Road in the north of the city at about 01:30 on 9 April.
The garage, formerly known as Applerow Motors, is where 21-year-old Michael Lyons was shot dead in 2006 and two others were injured.
