Man accused of repeatedly driving at pedestrian
GoogleA motorist accused of repeatedly driving a car at a pedestrian has appeared in court.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was seriously injured when he was struck by a black Audi A3 at the junction of St Thomas' Crescent and Sycamore Avenue in Alnwick, Northumberland, at about 18:40 BST on 29 May, Northumbria Police said.
Keowen Eaton, 21 and of Amble, appeared at South East Northumberland Magistrates' Court charged with dangerous driving and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Newcastle Crown Court on 29 June.
The victim was taken to hospital where he continues to receive treatment for leg injuries.
