A huge interactive mural has sprung up in Manchester's Northern Quarter, ahead of the first episode of a celebrity game show.

The Celebrity Traitors is set to return to our screens this evening - with a star-studded cast including comedy's Miranda Hart as well as actors Richard E Grant and Michael Sheen.

To mark the second series of the BBC show, Manchester has seen the appearance of a new mural on the corner of Thomas Street and High Street.

Tonight, viewers will see a select few celebs chosen as "traitors", whose job is to plot the demise of their fellow players. As the game begins, the mural will be updated twice weekly to show the "murders" and "banishments" from the latest episodes.

The mural was meticulously painted over a two-week period by Mural Republic.

Last year's series of The Celebrity Traitors was won by traitor Alan Carr, who managed to deceive final faithfuls Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga.

As well as trying to work out who is telling the truth, the celebrities compete in a series of challenges to win money for their chosen charity.
