City road closed after single-vehicle crash

A busy road in Derby has closed following a serious crash involving a single car.

Officers closed Warwick Avenue between Burton Road and Carlton Road, heading northbound towards Royal Derby Hospital, on Wednesday afternoon.

The road will likely remain closed for "some time", Derbyshire Police said.

Drivers are being advised to avoid the area.
