Man arrested after cyclist dies in crash
BBCA man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a cyclist died in a crash.
Hertfordshire Police was called to reports of a collision involving a Nissan and a cyclist on Thorley Street, Bishop's Stortford, at 13:59 BST on Wednesday.
An air ambulance attended but a man, aged in his 60s, died at the scene.
A 28-year-old man who has been arrested is in hospital receiving treatment.
Officers said he would eventually be transferred to custody for questioning.
Sgt Chris Whales, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "Firstly, my thoughts are with the man's loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.
"We are continuing to piece together what happened and ask for anyone with information to report it to the police.
"Additionally, if you have a dashcam fitted and were driving in the area at the time, please check it in case you recorded any crucial footage."
