Attempted murder charge after man shot in head
Gareth Trow/BBCA suspect has been charged with attempted murder after a man was shot in the head in Bradford.
Hasnain Akhter, 21, of Tichborne Road, is accused of shooting Mohammed Hassan on Gaythorne Road in West Bowling at about 23:00 BST on 8 July.
The victim remains in a critical condition in hospital, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
Akhter appeared at Bradford Magistrates' Court earlier and has been sent to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 12 August.
Detectives are still seeking 24-year-old Luqman Khan, also from Bradford, who is believed to have travelled to Suffolk and was thought to be in the Ipswich or Felixstowe areas.
West Yorkshire PoliceA 35-year-old man who was arrested in Ipswich on Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed pending further enquiries, according to West Yorkshire Police.
Three other men, aged 21, 34 and 36, were arrested in Ipswich on Saturday on suspicion of assisting an offender have since been released on police bail.
Two men, aged 25 and 27, were previously arrested in Bradford on suspicion of assisting an offender but were also released on bail.
Police renewed their appeal for anyone with information to come forward.
