Rescue team called after man injured in 6m fall
Edale Mountain Rescue TeamA man was taken to hospital after he slipped and fell six metres (19.7ft) while on a walk with friends in the Peak District.
The Edale Mountain Rescue Team said it was called to the Great Tor area of Bamford Edge in Derbyshire on Sunday afternoon.
The rescue team said it received reports that someone had fallen halfway down a crag.
It said after a survey by an air ambulance doctor, the man was given pain relief and placed in a vacuum mattress to be taken to an ambulance and on to Northern General in Sheffield for treatment.
