A luxury Rolls-Royce which has driven just 604 miles since it was built in 1977 is to go under the hammer in Nottinghamshire.

The "time warp" Silver Shadow I has been kept by the same owner since it left the factory almost half a century ago, said auction house H&H Classics.

It was last driven in 1998 for a family wedding, but has largely been in storage under a tailored cover in a climate-controlled garage on axle stands since 1993.

The vehicle will be sold at an auction on 17 June at Kelham Hall, near Newark, with an estimate of £70,000 to £90,000.

The winning bidder will also acquire its original book pack, sales invoice when purchased new from dealer P.J Evans in Birmingham, and full MOT certificates.

Paul Cheetham, senior motor car specialist at H&H Classics, said the lot was "surely unrepeatable considering its mileage, ownership and originality".

He said: "While Silver Shadows were built in relatively large numbers and have a high survival rate, we very much doubt that another will come to market that's as good as this one."

Other highlights at the auction include a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series I 'Interim', estimated at £180,000-£220,000, one of just nine right-hand drive models of its type and with only 59,000 miles on the clock.

A 1983 Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalole, is also listed at £65,000-£75,000, which H&H Classics called "one of the most iconic supercars of the 1980s".

While a 1960 Aston Martin DB4 Series II, one of just 349 made, is estimated to fetch £240,000-£260,000.
