Pictures show scale of fight against hay blaze

Three barns were on fire when crews arrived on Sunday

The scale of a fire which tore through three agricultural buildings in South Yorkshire has been captured in pictures.

The county's fire service was called to a farm in Fosterhouses, near Fishlake in Doncaster, on Sunday afternoon.

Crews arrived at the site, on Sorrell Lane at about 13:00 BST and were faced with three hay-filled barns and agricultural machinery on fire.

No injuries were reported and it is understood the cause of the fire has not yet been established.

The blaze required six engines, including one from Humberside, alongside a specialist vehicle from Nottinghamshire.

Images provided by South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue show a tractor destroyed and stacks of hay engulfed by the flames.
