Antonio was described as a "very joyful" person by his family

The family of a man who died after being involved in a road crash have said he will be remembered for "his love for motorbikes" and his "compassion for others".

Motorcyclist Antonio Monteiro was involved in a collision with a Land Rover and a Volkswagen ID3 on the A346 near the village of Collingbourne Ducis in Wiltshire on 19 April, said Wiltshire Police

He was taken by air ambulance to Southampton Hospital with life-threatening injuries and died there a week later.

The family of Monteiro, 43, from Andover in Hampshire have described him as "an amazing father and husband".

In a statement released through Wiltshire Police his family added: "It's difficult to sum Antonio up in a few words as he meant a lot to his wife and son, family, friends and colleagues.

"Antonio had a massive heart, a contagious smile and was a very joyful person on top of being an amazing father and husband.

"He will be hugely missed by all but remembered for his love for motorbikes and his compassion for others."
