Some sections of the path will be levelled and widened to make them more accessible

Parts of the south coast path in Alderney are being made more accessible.

The States of Alderney and the Alderney Wildlife Trust are working together to level and widen some sections after they have deteriorated during the past 10 to 20 years.

The States said it was hoped the path would be safer, more accessible and continue to "showcase the outstanding natural beauty of Alderney's coastline".

It said the works had been timed to avoid the wettest months of the year and the path would be in "excellent condition" for the summer season.
