JCB driven into takeaway after being stolen from farm

Police are investigating after a stolen JCB was driven into a takeaway in Cardiff.

South Wales Police said officers were called to Countisbury Avenue in Llanrumney at around 01:45 BST on Monday.

The machine is believed to have been stolen from a farm in nearby St Mellons.

An investigation is underway to establish what happened and any possible motive.

Insp Meg Butler said: "Understandably there is a lot of speculation within the community about this incident.

"We would ask anyone with information, no matter how small it might seem, to please contact us directly or Crimestoppers anonymously."
