Two arrested after £145,000 Boomtown festival theft

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of theft after £145,000 worth of vehicle trackway was stolen from a music festival.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary received reports that 65 panels, used to help vehicles get around, were missing from Boomtown festival, at the Matterley Estate, near Winchester on 27 August.

A 57-year-old man from Hayling Island was arrested on Monday but was subsequently released on bail.

A 26-year-old man from Havant was arrested on Wednesday and remains in police custody.
