Residents evacuated after flat fire
Andy FieldFirefighters are at the scene of a fire that started in a building containing flats in Liskeard.
Crews from Liskeard, Bodmin, Lostwithiel, and Looe used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets on the fire after a call out at 18:38 BST on Wednesday, Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service said.
Resident Andy Field said firefighters have had to remove roofing tiles as part of the operation.
He said the flats on Catchfrench Crescent were home to young families and single people and added: "We have all been evacuated 20 to 30-metres from the damage."
