Cash taken at gunpoint in betting shop robbery
Google StreetviewAn appeal has been made after an armed robbery at a bookmakers in Leicestershire.
Police said it took place at a business in Stamford Street, Glenfield, at about 18:00 BST on Sunday.
A female member of staff was threatened by a man holding what appeared to be a pistol, said the force, who then made off with "a quantity of cash".
Det Insp Graeme Baxter, from Leicestershire Police, asked for any witnesses including customers in the betting shop at the time to come forward.
No injuries were reported, and no arrests have been made.
