PC charged with dangerous driving over 2024 crash

A police officer has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving after a crash more than two years ago.

Leicestershire Police said the crash, involving an unmarked police car and a Fiat 500, happened on Narborough Road in Leicester on 31 May 2024.

The female driver of the Fiat, who the force said was in her 30s, suffered serious injuries in the crash.

PC David Manning, 32, from Leicestershire, is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
