Boy, 17, charged with murder after fatal stabbing

A teenage boy has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon after a man died following a stabbing.

Muhammad Butt, 20, was found injured in an alley between Cutbush Lane and Gipsy Lane in Lower Earley, Reading, Berkshire, at about 16:25 BST on Saturday.

Thames Valley Police said a 17-year-old boy from the town is due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

The force has arrested four boys in total in connection with Butt's murder, with two from Reading remaining in custody.
