Television and radio broadcaster Rylan Clark will star in this year's Birmingham Hippodrome pantomime.

The BBC Radio 2 presenter and Eurovision commentator will take on the role of "the Diva of Dreams" in Sleeping Beauty.

"I've heard Birmingham audiences are like no other, so I cannot wait to experience it for myself and bring all the fun, fabulousness and chaos to this year's panto," Clark said.

He will be joined by actress and singer Zoe Birkett and pantomime stars Matt Slack and Andrew Ryan.

It's being produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, which said the casting would be a "brilliant treat for audiences at the biggest regional pantomime in the country".

Meanwhile, Jon Gilchrist, artistic director and chief executive at Birmingham Hippodrome said: "Panto is such a special time for us at the hippodrome – and this is certainly the cast of dreams!"

Sleeping Beauty will play at Birmingham Hippodrome from Saturday 19 December 2026 to Sunday 31 January 2027.
