Police name biker killed in three-vehicle crash

The accident happened on the A72 near Innerleithen

Police have named a biker killed in a three-vehicle crash in the Borders.

John Murray, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on the A72 near Innerleithen on 11 April.

He was riding a black Yamaha YBR 125 custom motorbike which was involved in the crash along with a grey Citroen C4 Picasso and a yellow Citroen DS3.

Nobody else was hurt in the collision which closed the road for about eight hours. Anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage has been asked to contact police.
