Two men charged after rape of 14-year-old girl

Two men have been charged after the rape of a 14-year-old girl.

The incident happened at an address in Eastbourne, East Sussex, between 02:30 BST and 07:00 on 23 May.

Adam Hendrick, 40, of Eastbourne, has been charged with rape of a girl aged 13-15 and four counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15, Sussex Police said.

Miguel Dasilva, 39, of Eastbourne, has been charged with three counts of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15, engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13-15 and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

Both men are due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on 24 June.

Det Insp Steve Shimmons said that tackling violence against women and girls was a priority for Sussex Police.

"We are continuing our tireless pursuit collating evidence to support our investigation and the ongoing court proceedings." he added.
