Trackside fire blocks railway line
GoogleA fire next to a railway track in the West Midlands has blocked the line between Birmingham International and Coventry.
The fire, in the Canley area, would cause major disruption until at least 19:15 BST on Monday, National Rail said.
Passengers travelling between Coventry and Birmingham International face services that could be cancelled, revised or delayed by up to 30 minutes.
West Midlands Fire Service was contacted for comment. Further advice for affected customers can be found on the National Rail website.
Avanti West Coast services between Edinburgh and Glasgow Central and London Euston, plus CrossCountry services between Manchester Piccadilly and Bournemouth are affected.
London Northwestern routes between Birmingham New Street and Milton Keynes Central and London Euston are also disrupted.
