Multi-vehicle crash closes northbound section of M1

The M1 has been closed northbound in Northamptonshire following a multi-vehicle crash.

National Highways said it happened between junction 16 (A45) at Daventry, and junction 18 (A5), for Crick, but lanes three and four have since reopened.

Inrix Travel said it involved three cars and two vans.

Emergency services are at the scene and National Highways said there were about three miles (4.83km) of congestion and confirmed lanes one and two remain closed.
