Police probe suspected arson attack outside prison
SuppliedTwo cars have been damaged by fire in a suspected arson attack outside a maximum security men's prison.
Humberside Police said emergency services were called to the blaze in a car park at HMP Full Sutton, near Stamford Bridge, East Yorkshire, shortly before 02:00 BST.
There were no reports of any injuries, but a police spokesperson said inquires were ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident, and to identify those believed to have been involved.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the force via the 101 non-emergency number.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service said two fire crews attended the blaze and remained on scene until 04:00 BST to ensure there was no risk of re-ignition.
The Ministry of Justice confirmed there had been a fire in the prison's car park.
